Warrington is an industrial town on the River Mersey,
halfway between Manchester and Liverpool. It's growth has largely been due
to the economic power of it's neighbouring cities and with the investment
into industry, investment in tourism has followed.
Warrington has a wide selection of restaurant, bars,
clubs and pubs to suit all visitors. From the hip and trendy to the real
ale pubs Warrington has much to offer.
History is a prominent ieature in Warrington's culture.
At one time, more than half the sailcloth used by the Royal Navy was
manufactured in Warrington.
The
Bridgewater Canal, the Old Quay Canal and the
Manchester
Ship Canal pass just to the south of the town
and featured heavily in Warrington's development during the Industrial
Revolution.
